On Xbox One
If you are experiencing lag only when playing online, please make sure your Xbox One is connected to your router via an Ethernet cable, if using a wireless connection please refer to your Xbox One user guide to ensure minimal interference.
Important Before you begin troubleshooting your connection, check for service alerts on the Xbox Live Status page, or see if an Xbox Live service alert appears at the top of this page.
Bleeding Edge is an online game which requires fast upload and download speed for the best experience possible, please contact your internet service provider if you are unsure if your network is best suited for online play.
When contacting your ISP, it helps to provide them with your current download speed, upload speed and ping.
Verify the speed of your console’s Internet connection by running the Xbox One console speed test utility:
- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
- Select Settings.
- Select All Settings.
- Select Network.
- Select Network settings. Any known outages will appear in the middle of the screen.
- Select Detailed Network Statistics.
- The results should appear in a few moments.
On Windows 10
If you're experiencing lag when playing online, check your internet connection, we recommend a wired connection via Ethernet cable for the best experience.
Alternatively if your experiencing lag when playing the game offline then you may actually be experiencing frame drops. This can occur when the graphic settings are too high for your system, ensure your graphics device has the latest drivers downloaded and installed and then restart Bleeding Edge.
